Did you know that many African-Americans had to "blackup" to be on Broadway in the 19th and early 20th centuries? Did you know that in the 1920s until the 1960s most Black actors had to take secondary roles. It's better, but its not good enough yet. We'll look at the role of Black America in American entertainment. |
