Beginning RoboCamp

Imagine watching a human sized robot walk casually down a flight of stairs or a self propelled vacuum cleaning your house. Now imagine being given a box of parts and the task of inventing a robot. What would you build? Where would you start? In Beginning RoboCamp, campers design, build, and program robots. A major goal of the camp is to spark interest in science, mathematics and technology through inquiry-based, hands-on learning. Using LEGO Mindstorm kits and laptop computers campers construct robotic models utilizing creativity, design, logic, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Advanced RoboCamp

July 13-14, 9:00-3:30
Age: entering 6th grade in the fall
Location: North Central ESD
Fee: $30

Must have attended RoboCamp I to sign up. Advanced campers design, build and program robots capable of performing specific tasks and challenges. The curriculum prepares campers to face challenge courses typically found at state level competitions.
