| Restart your H.323 client application or codec appliance after
entering the information to ensure registration with the Gatekeeper. |

- Open ViaVideo Application
Click on the System Info button found
on the upper left of the ViaVideo window.
- Select:
- Set Up
- H.323
- Select H.323 again
- H.323 Name, enter something descriptive, such as "Institution
- Name".
Example: "NCESD - Debby Thompson"
- H.323 Extension
(E.164 number):
- enter your local 10 digit phone number. (ie. 5096677108)
- note: this number must be unique for every endpoint
(across the state) on the gatekeeper

Select the BACK button.
- Select "Gatekeeper"
- Use Gatekeeper, select: "Specify"
- Gatekeeper
IP Address, gatekeeper.wa-k20.net or 216.186.3.227
- You
should now see "Gatekeeper registration successful...".
If not, click on "Home" and
reboot the application, then
find you way back
to this menu. If it is still
unsuccessful:
- check your settings
- try a different E.164
number (it may already
be in use)
- the gatekeeper
might be blocked by your
firewall. See Firewalls
& NAT.
- You are done. Click
on "Home"

- Using the remote control, select
System

H.323:
Gatekeeper
- Enter:
- H.323 Name, enter something descriptive, such as "Institution-Building-Room Name".
Example: "NCESD - Large Group Room"
- H.323 Extension
(E.164 number):
- set to the building or room's local 10 digit phone number.
(ie. 5096673637)
- note: this number must be unique for every
endpoint (across the state) on the gatekeeper
- Select "Gatekeeper"
- Use Gatekeeper, select: "Specify"
- Gatekeeper IP Address, gatekeeper.wa-k20.net or 216.186.4.187
- Select "Menu" (codec
may reboot at this time)
- After reboot, you should briefly see a green "GK" icon in the
lower center portion of the startup menu. This means you have
successfully registered. If the icon is red:
- check your settings
- try a different E.164 number (it may already be in use)
- the gatekeeper might be blocked by your firewall. See Firewalls
& NAT
